Groaning
All things being relevant and understanding the playing field is definitely not level - especially in the natural - but that God stands in the gap as a hedge builder and His own arm bring salvation. With that said, are you lazy? Are you trifling? Or are you oppressed because when you tried someone didn’t come through? Oppression can come from someone moving the bar higher after you were trying to reach. Oppression can be a form of racism.
I ask young men, “Are you ready to be on your own? Can you pay your own water bill? Afford a car payment? Can you acquire your own home and take care of your own home with groceries, furniture, dishes, cleaning supplies?” To the average person, this may have flown right past you, but these fundamental disabilities are keeping young people from ever attempting to reach their destiny. Being on your own is the first Promised Land. I see guy’s everyday who say they want to be basketball players, but they don’t train, run, lift weights, or eat healthy. They don’t really want to be basketball players, they just want the fame. That’s trifling. I tell them, “When the other guy’s on your team find out you’re lazy there not gonna want to be around you.” Preparation is time is not wasted time, but when you’re lazy it makes learning difficult.
But, now I want to flip the script. The playing field is not level. What concerns me the most is when I come across a 10 year old who appears to be lazy and his 7 year old brother seems lazy too. Then I meet their younger sister who is 3 and I have never met their parents one time. The 10 year old is taking care of his entire family. I look at their faces and hear the words of Ziggy Marley “With the world so loud who can hear my cry.” I deal with kids who have been diseased by Fatherlessness. Fatherlessness makes young men indifferent. They have no model. No example. No launching pad to help them get to where they see they want to go. Almost every day, I talk to a 12 year old who is completely burned out. They are burned out because too much has been asked of them too early. THAT OUGHT NOT BE!! The foundations have been entirely removed and kids are no longer falling through the cracks; they are being born in the cracks sliding into the black hole of no identity and are unwilling to try to get out and they don’t have the strength to jump economic hurdles. When the foundations are removed what can the righteous do?
This is what the righteous can do…count the cost of entering into a life of prayer. If most of what you see being done,is all that you perceive that can be done, then there’s not that much being done. Prayer shifts and crying out to God with fastings energizes the work with a greater anointing. Get in order and the blessing will come. Order is prayer and the Word, fathers and sons, the mountain lifestyle-hiding yourself in the presence of God. It’s never too late to silence the psycho-babble of laziness in your life.
Caring creates a path that’s worth investigating and you’ll find them to be the footsteps of the Lord.
See that man who thinks he's so smart? You can expect far more from a fool than from him. Loafers say, "It's dangerous out there! Tigers are prowling the streets!" and then pull the covers back over their heads. Just as a door turns on its hinges, so a lazybones turns back over in bed. A shiftless sluggard puts his fork in the pie, but is too lazy to lift it to his mouth. Dreamers fantasize their self-importance; they think they are smarter than a whole college faculty.
